Key Personnel
Jason Schmitt
CEO, Founder
Born and raised in Fond du Lac, Jason graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bradley University in 1995 with a degree in Business Management. Prior to starting the business in 2006, Jason’s IT industry experience consisted of ten years in a business development role. Responsible for the vision and direction of Risetech Partners, Jason enjoys participating in peer groups such as Ingram Micro’s Trust X Alliance. As a member of the Milwaukee Athletic Club and Ozaukee Country Club, Jason enjoys building relationships with other successful professionals. In his spare time, Jason enjoys attending concerts, watching sports, playing golf, and traveling.
Tom Reminga
CTO, Principal
Born and raised in the Milwaukee area, Tom attended MSOE and UW-Milwaukee with a focus on Information Technology. His IT industry experience includes 15+ years supporting the diverse technology requirements of organizations ranging from small business to large scale enterprises. A strategic team member since 2007, Tom’s primary responsibility is providing strategic technology direction and long term planning for our clients. Tom has a deep knowledge of the Microsoft, VMware, Apple, Hosted, and Cloud platforms. In his spare time, Tom is an avid skier, automobile racing enthusiast, and dog lover.
Greg Herpel
Director of Business Development
A lifelong resident of Milwaukee, Greg received his Bachelor of Science, Marketing degree from Winona State University. Offering 20+ years of technology industry experience in the areas of marketing, business development, public relations, sales management, channel development, and technology advisement, Greg joined the team in June of 2015. His responsibilities include finding new opportunities for Risetech Partners in all business units and maintaining long lasting relationships with potential and existing clients and partners. During his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, landscaping, playing sports, listening to music, and watching movies.
Matt Goelz
Technical Services Manager
Born and raised in the Milwaukee area. Matt attended MSOE and UW-Milwaukee with a focus on Computer Science. Matt has 20+ years in the IT industry supporting organizations of all sizes with an emphasis on mission critical network/server infrastructure and core business applications. A valued team member since 2009, Matt oversees the service delivery areas of Professional Services and Support Desk while serving as one of the organization’s highest technical escalation resources. In his free time Matt enjoys vacations to Northern Wisconsin, golfing, and spending time with his family.
Nick Zellmer
Client Relationship Executive
Born and raised in the Milwaukee area, Nick is a UW-Madison graduate. Nick has fifteen years of experience in client-facing business development and technical sales support roles. Prior IT industry experience includes roles focused on cybersecurity while at Dell, Cylance, and Kaspersky. Nick’s responsibility at Risetech Partners is to manage the client experience for the purpose of providing predictable, consistent, and secure technology outcomes via our IT Care and CyberCare platforms. In his free time Nick is an avid golfer, skier, and enjoys traveling.
